We collect the following categories of personal information:

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, and password. Contractors also provide their business name, license number, years of experience, and service areas.

Home and Project Information: When homeowners submit a quote request, we collect property details including address, zip code, home size, home age, number of stories, current HVAC system details, ductwork condition, comfort issues, timeline preferences, budget range, financing interest, and any photos you upload.

Usage Information: We collect information about how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, features used, and timestamps of activity.

Communications: Messages exchanged between homeowners and contractors through our platform are stored to facilitate the quote and hiring process.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to operate and improve our platform, including to match homeowners with qualified local HVAC contractors, facilitate the quote comparison and contractor selection process, enable communication between homeowners and contractors, verify contractor credentials and licensing, administer contractor billing under our Terms of Service, improve our services and user experience, send service-related notifications, and respond to your inquiries and support requests.

3. How We Share Your Information

With Contractors: When a homeowner submits a quote request, we share relevant project details (service type, zip code, home details) with up to three matched contractors so they can prepare quotes. We share your name and contact information with a contractor only after you select them.

With Homeowners: Contractors' business names, ratings, and quote details are shared with homeowners for comparison purposes. Contractors never see each other's quotes.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/SSL), secure authentication through Supabase, and row-level security policies that ensure users can only access their own data.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
